1) Treasure Island (1990 Made for Cable,[TNT] )
Starring: Charlton Heston, Christian Bale
Directed by:Fraser Clarke Heston

Rated: 6.4 out of 10 at IMDB

By far my favorite of all Treasure Idland movie. Could very well be my favorite of Pirate movies. very hard to come by.

 


2) The Princess Bride (1987)
Starring: Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright
directed By: Rob Reiner

One of the greatest swashbucklers ever made. Witty, charming, and funny all at the same time.

Rated: 8.2 out of 10 at IMDB

Only marginally a pirate movie but then main character is the "Dread Pirate Roberts"

If Captain Blood ahd been in color this would probably have never been made. Thank God Captain Blood wasn't in color!
